ReadBlock uses Apple's Screen Time API (Family Controls framework) to enable app blocking during reading sessions. This includes:

  • Apps you select to block during reading sessions
  • Scheduled reading session times
  • Device activity monitoring during active sessions

Important: Screen Time data is processed entirely on your device using Apple's secure framework. We do not have access to, collect, or transmit this data to any servers.

How We Use Your Information

All data collected is used solely to:

  • Provide the core reading functionality
  • Enable app blocking during scheduled reading sessions
  • Track and display your reading progress
  • Maintain your preferences and settings

Data Storage and Security

All your data is stored locally on your device. We do not operate servers that store your personal information. Your reading data, preferences, and Screen Time configurations never leave your device.

Book files and reading progress are stored in your device's secure app container, protected by iOS security measures.

Third-Party Services

ReadBlock may use the following third-party services:

Your Rights

ReadBlock is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The app's Screen Time features are designed for personal use by the device owner.
